I love Mount and Blade. I ahve over hrs in warband.

Mount & Blade with Fire & Sword Trading Guide

I like the firearms immensely it makes combat very intense not knowying if the next bullet will end you. But I cant everr get together enough cash. I have set routine in warband. Do the arena training a bit for some money and exp. Hit the tourney circut.

Its boring as hell, but it's really the only way you have to make decent amounts of money in this game other than pillaging and owning fiefs.

Buy raw goods from villages and sell them at towns, buy manufactured and processed goods from towns and sell them back to the villages, buy gunpowder from towns and then sell it to nearby fortresses. Also don't forget that you can buy cattle from village elders and sell the meat occasionally I've wound up paying 50 per cow and then selling the meat for each in the town literally right next door.

There are also some extremely lucrative routes shipping supplies between certain towns if you figure them out.
